Fire Leaves One Injured In Peoria

Peoria Fire & Rescue responded to a house fire at 1113 W. Westwood Drive Thursday afternoon.

Crews arrived on the scene shortly after 2 p.m., finding smoke coming from the front of the house, and fire coming from the rear of the house.

The fire was out in about 20 minutes.

Occupants of the home were out of the house before firefighters arrived.

One person was taken to a hospital and treated for burns on their hands and feet.

No firefighter injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
